Dear Parents/carers,
I hope this letter finds you well.
As no doubt you are aware, the NEU has announced two further strike days
to take place on Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th July. On previous strike
days the school has only remained open for our most vulnerable students
and those of critical workers, however, due to the departure of our year 11
students we are now able to open to more students.
Arrangements for next week.
School will be open, on both days, to all students except those:
• in our year 9 ‘Rivington’ group
• in our KS3 ‘Beacon’ group
• and those students who attend our Harvey street site.
Students not attending school will be expected to access learning via our
online platform, details of which will be sent out later this week.
Please note that on the preceding school days, that is Tuesday 4th July
and Thursday 6th July, food bags will be offered to all non-attending
students who are entitled to free school meals.
Once again, we thank you for your cooperation in this matter and we
apologise for any inconvenience this action may cause. As always if you
have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,
Mrs Sandra Mckenna
Headteacher
